About the Role

Zinc is hiring a Product Owner for PriceYak. The Product Owner will lead nearly all aspects of the PriceYak product. You will be expected to:

• Frequently chat and email with customers and prospective customers
• Set the engineering agenda. Specify bugs and feature requests for the engineering team. Lead product betas.
• Coordinate with the Sales and Account Management teams to drive product growth.
• Lead the PriceYak support organization. Set performance metrics and assist the support representatives to consistently provide best-in-class support.
• Take responsibility for the P&L of PriceYak. You will report to the founders of Zinc, who will also be able to assist with big initiatives or changes in staffing of your team.

This is a fantastic role for a generalist interested in startups/entrepreneurship. You will learn everything needed to run and grow a profitable SaaS product.

Requirements:

Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to lead a team.

Strong computer skills and demonstrated ability to understand a technical product.

Self starting, autonomous, and hands-on.

Product management experience.

Engineering background a plus.

$150k - $220k annual compensation, depending on experience level.

The position is based out of our office near Union Square in San Francisco. We have snacks, unlimited La Croix, and (sometimes) Wally, a super friendly golden retriever. As a small startup we offer flexibility in terms of work schedule and vacation. After approximately 6 months, substantial portions of the role could be accomplished from home or remote locations if desired.
